Bio Rose Mary Boehm
A German-born UK national, Rose Mary Boehm lives and works in Lima, Peru. Author of two novels and a full-length poetry collection, TANGENTS (2011, UK), her work has been widely published in US poetry reviews as well as some print anthologies, also in Diane Lockward’s 'The Crafty Poet'. She won third price in in the 2009 'Margaret Reid Poetry Contest for Traditional Verse' (US), was semi-finalist in the 'Naugatuck Poetry Contest' 2012/13 and has been a finalist in several Goodreads poetry contests, winning it twice: in October 2014 and January 2016; a new poetry collection, FROM THE RUHR TO SOMEWHERE NEAR DRESDEN 1939-1949 : A CHILD'S JOURNEY, has been published by Aldrich Press in May 2016, and another new collection, PERU BLUES, is to be published by Kelsay Books 2016/2017.
Right now I am putting together a manuscript with my poetry from the last three years. Uff.
I have created two blogs which are fun and have taken off to my great delight. One is my art blog THE HOUSEBOAT (all art generally, but poetry in particular - perhaps you would like to submit to the HOUSEBOAT?) and BILDER, showing off my photography.
